Responsibilities

  • Locate proper slot on storage racks, set pallets in place with forklift or hand stack items, enter product data and location into the appropriate unit
  • Locate and perform count checks of incoming freight in the staging area and transport to freezer with forklift/pallet jack
  • Replenish pick slots with outgoing stock items according to next day’s work orders
  • Rotate date-sensitive stock to the front of the rack and/or remove outdated inventory according to company policy
  • Disperse over-stocked items to available slots for temporary storage
  • Remove empty pallets, cardboard packing, and strapping to the proper area; inspect pallets for damage and move pallets with pallet jack or forklift as required
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures; ensure work area is safe and report unsafe conditions immediately
  • Review work schedule, perform safety checks on equipment, obtain supplies, and prepare for operations
  • Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear
  • Meet productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines
  • Work from receiving sheets, computer print-outs, and established procedures; follow written/verbal instructions
  • Inspect items for damage, perform temperature and quality checks, and take appropriate action as needed
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in the work area
  • Handle battery changes and perform vehicle inspections as required
  • Secure equipment and complete necessary paperwork at end of shift
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
  • 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution experience
  • 6+ months of stand-up reach truck experience
  • Must be able to work scheduled/overtime as required
  • Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly; able to lift 10-35 pounds and generally up to 60-90 pounds depending on location
  • Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry)
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
