Warehouse Forklift Operator Job at Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Nashville

Overview

Ryder is immediately hiring Temporary Material Handlers in Spring Hill, Tennessee. Warehouse positions pay weekly and involve working with state of the art equipment in a safe supply chain environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Operate within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Ensure accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading/unloading of trucks
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for aspects related to the automated packing system during production
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Ability to work in a diverse work environment and maintain professional relationships across all levels
• Highly thorough and dependable; punctual with good attendance
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision; shows initiative
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods
• Flexible schedule for various shifts
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices

Salary & Benefits

• Hourly pay: $20.33 per hour
• Overtime pay: $30.50 per hour
• Additional pay: $1.25 per hour when assigned to second shift
• Schedules: 2nd Shift Monday – Friday 4:00 pm – 12:30 am
