Overview

Position: Skilled Nursing Certified Nurse Aide

Shifts: 1st Shift, Every Other Weekend

Week 1: Sat/Sun 7am-3pm; Week 2: Sat/Sun Off

Starting Pay: Minimum of $20.50/hour, pay increases based on years certified. Position eligible for weekend shift differential.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a State approved nursing assistant training program. Registration with State of Connecticut registry required.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
• Prior geriatric nursing aide experience is preferred.
• Ability to legibly track and document care given to each resident.

Essential Job Duties

• Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising.
• Gives treatments, performs tests, carries out procedures and collects specimens as instructed.
• Reports and records observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures, and specimens when indicated.
• Transfers, transports, and escorts residents as needed.
• Answers signal lights promptly.
• Changes bed linens, makes beds and keeps rooms clean and orderly.
