Overview
Analyst, Online Merchandising Solutions at The Home Depot – The Analyst will work collaboratively to build automated reporting and insights solutions in Tableau to support the Online Merchandising team. The role requires use of Tableau, GBQ and SQL to create the front end experience of reporting and insights solutions for internal HD.com business partners to support data initiatives online, including building wireframes. The analyst will resolve issues relating to incorrect mapping, business rules, and data deviations on an ad hoc basis. The analyst will keep projects on task and within timelines, working with Online Merchandising Solutions Managers to prioritize projects and own deliverables of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- 10% Attend merchant meetings and identify and facilitate OMS requests
- 40% Responsible for assortment growth projects, status reporting, item troubleshooting, and attribute maintenance. Serve as SME for product category online. Learn/report on best practices, industry standards, and legal requirements associated with the assigned category.
- 30% Measure ongoing effectiveness of programs against metric targets. Develop/execute ongoing enhancements and/or business process optimization strategy based on measured performance and customer feedback.
- 20% Troubleshoot and problem-solve for ongoing operational needs as they arise (e.g., store SKU alignment, online product availability). Ability to author clear, concise end-user/training materials for processes.

Travel Requirements
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with occasional movement. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with SQL, GBQ, and Tableau
- Proven track record of delivering on time while prioritizing multiple projects
- Strong organizational, analytical and customer service skills
- Ability to think outside of the box to solve problems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong knowledge of internal Home Depot store product system(s) including base tables
Minimum Education
- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor\'s degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
