Overview

Truck Driver position at UINTAH COUNTY in Vernal, UT. Open Until Filled.

Responsibilities

• Operate and service trucks, transports, and specialized wheeled equipment.
• Construct, maintain, and repair county roads and service systems.
• Operate snow removal and sanding equipment to ensure safe travel; apply ice control materials at intersections, curves, hills, and railroad crossings.
• Respond to sporadic and urgent seasonal call-outs for tasks such as plowing snow, repairing road damage, and removing materials from roadways.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Two years of experience in similar duties; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• Flagger certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Tanker endorsement may be required.

Schedule & Compensation

Typical schedule: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM.

Full-time position offering $24.48 per hour, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; retirement plans; Paid Time Off (PTO); Employee Assistance Program; and an wellness benefits program.
