Location: Based in Connecticut (routes to Midwest & Southeast)

Job Type: Full-Time, OTR (Over-The-Road)

Compensation: $29 – $32 per hour, based on experience

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and experienced CDL Class A Long Haul Driver to join our team. This position involves over-the-road (OTR) driving with routes extending from Connecticut to as far west as Chicago and as far south as Atlanta. Candidates must be flexible, committed to safety, and available to be on the road for extended periods as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A commercial vehicle safely and efficiently over long distances
• Transport freight, including temperature-sensitive loads using plug-in reefer trucks
• Follow all DOT regulations and company policies
• Perform and document pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Maintain accurate logs for hours of service, mileage, fuel, and inspections
• Communicate clearly with dispatch and support teams
• Be available for extended trips, including overnights, often with short notice
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
• Ensure the secure and proper handling of all cargo

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license
• Clean driving record (no recent accidents or violations)
• Minimum of 2 years OTR driving experience preferred
• Experience with reefer units (plug-in preferred) is strongly desired
• Solid understanding of DOT rules and HOS regulations
• Ability to work independently and stay on schedule
• Comfortable with extended time away from home

Compensation & Benefits
