CDL Driver - Vacuum Truck Job at Select Water Solutions in Big Wells

Select Water Solutions is seeking a CDL Driver for a vacuum truck position. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight, building loads for deliveries, and maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized work environment.

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

• Ensuring the truck is loaded and secured properly
• Responsible for the weight of the shipment
• Maintaining vehicle maintenance, security, and keeping the vehicle clean
• Ensuring the truck has proper and current inspections
• Compliance with all D.O.T. requirements
• Maintaining driver qualification records and driving records
• Keeping all paperwork in correct order and ensuring that all transactions are documented
• Driving courteously when in a company truck
• Making all deliveries on time while maintaining safe driving
• Working with Procurement in all deliveries and pick-ups
• Representing the company in a respectable manner whenever in a Select uniform
• Loading and unloading the truck as required
• Working in the yard and field as needed by the supervisor
• Maintaining a thorough understanding of and compliance with all safety rules and company policies
• Performing various other duties and activities as assigned by the supervisor within the physical constraints of the job
• Being competent with a tractor-trailer and all equipment
• Ensuring work is carried out in a manner compliant with company safety standards
• Performing assignments in an effective and efficient manner to ensure deliveries are accurate and secure

The requirements for this position include:

• 1 year of experience as a CDL A driver preferred
• CDL A license
• High School diploma/GED
• Tanker and HazMat endorsement preferred
• Meeting all Federal Motor Carrier D.O.T. requirements and safety qualifications
• Current D.O.T. medical card
• Being at least 21 years of age
• Ability to read and interpret information such as driving routes, safety rules, sales tickets, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
• Possessing outstanding organizational and time management skills
• Being able to pass a D.O.T. pre-employment physical
• Ability to work night or weekend shifts as necessary
• Being detail-oriented due to the necessity of safety
• Possessing excellent oral and written communication skills
• Able to thrive in a team environment
• CDL certification from an accredited driving school and one year of similar driving experience; experience may be substituted
• Experience in the energy industry
