Industrial Electrician – JLL
What this job involves: A highly experienced and skilled Industrial Electrician with a minimum of 10 years of experience is needed to join the team. The Industrial Electrician will install, maintain, and repair complex electrical systems and equipment within the facilities. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and troubleshooting techniques to ensure the safe and efficient operation of industrial machinery and equipment.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Install, maintain, and repair: Electrical systems, equipment, and components according to codes and regulations, including motor controls, transformers, buses, generators, battery precipitators, plant lighting and conduit/wiring.
- Install, connect, test, and maintain electrical control and instrumentation systems for a variety of purposes, including utilities, climate control, security, and communications
- Troubleshoot and diagnose: Electrical problems and faults in production equipment using testing devices and advanced techniques.
- Inspect equipment, locate, and correct problems before breakdowns occur; use preventative and corrective maintenance techniques to diagnose, isolate, and repair electrical. Electrical problems throughout the facilities (may include repair of motors, transformers, generators, process, and PLC controllers on utilities or HVAC equipment).
- Safety and compliance: Follow safety protocols, adhere to codes, implement lockout/tagout procedures, and maintain a safe workplace.
- Collaborate and communicate: Work with others, including directing assistants and coordinating with other maintenance and production staff, and communicate effectively.
- Recognize voltages at primary and secondary levels, exercises proper care safety precautions when working with all voltages.

- Requires physical ability, including standing, bending, working at heights, and lifting.
- Adaptability to changing conditions and schedules
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of working experience as an Industrial Electrician.
- In-depth knowledge of industrial electrical systems (power distribution, motor control, VFDs).
- Understanding of utility feeder transfer schemes and operation.
- Proven troubleshooting skills.
- Solid understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations (OSHA, NEC).
- Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Successful completion of accredited trade school.
- Basic mechanical knowledge.
