• Level II Trauma Center
• Level III NICU
• Magnet Designated
• Primary Stroke
• Teaching Hospital
• 417 Beds
• Travelers must live 100 miles away from any Monument Health facility
• Unit Information: • Beds: • 1 room; in May or April there will be a brand-new room that will be a hybrid cath lab/OR
• Likely 1-2 cases per day
• Minimum Years of Experience required? • Nurse & Tech: Minimum of 2 years in procedure area
• Will you accept a first-time traveler? • Yes, under review of skills and management
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: • Adults
• Cases/procedure types: • Open and closed procedures
• TAMBE - thoracoabdominal branch endoprosthesis
• TCAR - transcarotid arterial revascularization
• TEVAR - thoracic endovascular aortic repair
• TAVR - transcatheter aortic valve repair
• TMVR - transcatheter mitral valve repair
• AIFF - aortoiliac femoral femoral angiogram
• Femoral bypass
• Required Certifications • Nurse: BLS, ACLS
• Tech: ARRT or equivalent OR RCIS is required, BLS, ACLS
• Skills required: • Nurse: • ICU background required
• Cath lab experience required
• Comfortable with monitoring sedation and gtt titration
• Endovascular approach experience
• Ideal candidate: experience in either Cath lab or IR and then specialized in endovascular cases
• Will not be recovering or prepping patients
• Tech: • Experience with endovascular procedures with cardiothoracic surgeons required
• Experience performing these cases in Hybrid OR setting
• If they have no experience with the listed procedures, please decline.
• Support within the Department: • Charge nurse available in the Cath lab
• Technology/Equipment: • EMR: EPIC
• IV Pump: Alaris
• Med dispensing: Omnicell
• Siemens and Philips X-ray and hemodynamic systems
• Floating: If yes, where? • Float to assist within the Cath lab for peripheral and structural procedures
• Orientation (facility and unit): • NEO
• 4 x 10hr shifts for the first week with a preceptor
• Scheduling: • Weekend rotation: Flexibility needed. Likely working every other or every third weekend.
• On call? If so, what is that schedule? • On-call is 24-hour coverage
• Likely on-call every other to every third night (1-2 times per week)
• Holiday Expectations: Likely to work every other holiday
• RTO: Managers approval
• Shift times: 0600-1630
• Schedule cycle: comes out every 4 weeks
• Other notes: • Scrub Color: scrubs provided
• Parking: Free
