However, agrees to see patients outside of his/her specialty, in case of emergency, or other special situations as determined by the Chief Medical OfficerRefers those cases that require specialist services, but will maintain responsibility for assuring that those services are requiredMaintains admitting privileges at local hospitals or arranges a pre-approved alternative such as a hospitalist service or physician group and provides follow-up hospital care where privileges permitParticipates as directed in network quality improvement projects/pilots and agrees to follow its protocols and directives.
