Surgery - General Physician

We are seeking an experienced Locums General Surgery/Acute Care Surgery (ACS) Physician to provide coverage at a Level III Trauma Center in the Fresno, California area. This opportunity offers a flexible schedule of 10 shifts per month, competitive pay, travel coverage.
Position Details:

• Shift Schedule: 10 shifts per month
• Shift Type: 24-hour shifts (call and surgical coverage)
• Trauma Level: Level III Trauma Center
• Compensation: $3,800 Per Shift

Responsibilities:

• Provide emergency general surgery and acute care surgical services
• Perform surgical procedures and manage operative and non-operative patients
• Collaborate closely with trauma, emergency medicine, and hospitalist teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Participate in consultations, admissions, and inpatient rounding
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system

Requirements:

• Board Certified in General Surgery
• Active California Medical License
• BLS & ACLS Certification - required
• Previous experience in a trauma or acute care surgery setting preferred
