Join a dynamic team at a brand new, state-of-the-art 10-bed LDRP Level-I Nursery at CaroMont Regional Medical Center-Belmont, set to open in late 2024. This is an exceptional opportunity for experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs) to make a significant impact in a facility that anticipates around 600 deliveries annually. With an average daily census of 5 newborns, you will be part of a supportive team environment that emphasizes excellent patient care and collaboration.
Job Responsibilities:- Daily rounding on newborns in-house and taking call from home.
- Attending deliveries when requested and stabilizing newborns requiring higher-level care.
- Managing and facilitating the transport of newborns to adjacent NICUs in Charlotte or Gastonia.
- Collaborating with a team of 4 NNPs and a supportive sister Level III NICU staffed by experienced Neonatologists.
- Engaging in opportunities for supplemental PRN shifts at the Level III NICU in Gastonia (optional).
- Master's Degree and/or Doctorate in Nursing.
- Board Certified NNP - No other NP certifications accepted.
- A minimum of 2 years of direct employment experience as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.
- Current NC license (or willingness to obtain).
- DEA certification (must be obtained prior to start).
- Master's Degree and/or Doctorate in Nursing - REQUIRED
- Current APRN National Specialty Certification - Board Certified NNP - REQUIRED
- North Carolina license (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
- 2+ years of employment experience as NNP - REQUIRED
- DEA - REQUIRED (no exemptions)
