This medical center provides essential women's health services to the Ironwood community and surrounding areas. The facility features a 3-bed department with a low-volume obstetrics practice (approximately 80 births per year), allowing for personalized patient care in a supportive environment.
Opportunity:
Board Certification Eligible - Obstetrics and Gynecology
Job Details:
• Coverage needed November 14 at 7am CST through 7am on November 21 and 7am on December 21 through 7am on January 1st
• Low-volume call with approximately 80 births per year and 1 patient encounter per shift
• Focus on low-risk pregnancies (high-risk pregnancy experience preferred)
• Perform FHR interpretation including NST/CST/FSE
• Conduct routine vaginal deliveries and perform c-sections when necessary
• Decision-making capabilities for c-section required
• Experience with repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations required
• OB ultrasound performance and interpretation skills preferred
• Experience with complicated deliveries including breech and multiple births preferred
• Surgical gynecology experience preferred including open and laparoscopic procedures
• Must maintain an active Michigan medical license
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days for full credentials (temporary privileges available)
• Lodging options include AirBnb and Americinn in Ironwood
• Nearest airports: Ironwood, Iron Mountain, Marquette, or Duluth, MN
Compensation:
