Network Project Manager - IV (Outside Plant Field Specialist)

Location: Albany, NY
It will vary but there may be weeks where I need the candidate onsite 5 days a week and others where they might be 3 onsite and 2 remote.
Targeted Years of Experience: 7-10 years
Responsibilities: • Analyzes architecture, relationship between systems, and systems flow of end-to-end designs. • Interface with Engineering, Operations and Network Planning organizations to serve and support proper designs needed to simplify and modernize the legacy network. • Track monthly Engineering and Operations progress to ensure progress is being made to achieve Open For Sales, Copper Migration and Switch shutdown targets. • Sharing progress with leaders and other stakeholders with dashboards and reports.
### **Position Summary: Outside Plant Field Specialist**
This role involves overseeing a large-scale
project focused on the extraction and recycling of copper network.
The ideal
candidate will be a field-based specialist who reports on the project's progress and ensures safety and productivity. This is not a supervisory position
### **Key Requirements & Responsibilities** * **Experience:**
The company is seeking someone with 5 to 7 years of experience in outside plant (OSP) or field operations
within the telecom industry, preferably with Telecommunication. However, experience with any telecom company is acceptable. The title of the candidate (e.g., manager, technician, supervisor) does not matter as long as they have relevant experience. * **Role:** The main responsibility is to be on-site to observe and report on the work being done,
specifically the **copper network removal and extraction**. This role is not involved in building new networks. * **Reporting & Tools:** While the exact reporting tools are not yet finalized, the person will likely be responsible for submitting their own timesheet. * **Safety:** Familiarity with Telecommunication's safety protocols is a plus, but not a strict requirement.
### **Logistics & Timeline** * **Location:** The role is a field-based position, not an office-based one. The initial focus is on the mid to upstate New York area, with a potential to expand into Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Sponsor plans to hire two people to cover these areas. Specific office locations for reporting are not yet available but will be provided later. * **Start Date:** The target start date is around **September 15th**, but there is some flexibility for a start a week or two later. * **Duration:** This is a two-year assignment.
