Program: NYSOMH Licensed Children’s Community Residence (CCR), ages 8-12 Job Title: Program Director Reports To: Associate Executive Director of Health and Mental Health Services Date Available: Immediately Salary Range: $90,000-$110,000. JOB SUMMARY The Program Director is responsible for the overall leadership, clinical oversight, and administrative management of a co-ed eight bed Children’s Community Residence. RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure the CCR operates in compliance with OMH regulations, Justice Center requirement, and agency policies. Develop, implement and monitor program policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives. Oversee admission, assessment, and discharge planning processes in coordination with clinical staff. Ensure compliance with incident reporting, NIMRS entries, and corrective action follow-ups. Staff Supervision and Development Provide direct supervision to clinical, residential, and support staff, including senior counselors and counselors. Conduct regular supervision, performance evaluations, and staff development plans. Ensure all staff complete required trainings (OMH, trauma informed care, etc.). Ensure all staff follow the program’s treatment model of care. Promote a positive, supportive, and collaborative work environment Resident Care & Services Ensure children receive individualized, trauma-informed, and developmentally appropriate care. Oversee treatment planning and service delivery in coordination with clinicians, psychiatrist, and case managers. Monitor residents’ safety, well-being, and progress toward treatment plan goals. Ensure family engagement, including communication, visitation, and participation in treatment planning. Administrative and Operational Oversight Manage program budget, staffing schedules, and resource allocation. Maintain accurate and timely program records, reports and audits. Serve as liaison with OMH, ACS, schools, medical providers, and community partners. Member of senior management team. Participate in agency leadership meetings and provide program updates to senior administration. Qualifications: Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or related field required. Licensed in NYS (LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAT or related license) preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory/administrative experience in residential or community-based child mental health services. Knowledge of OMH regulations, trauma informed care, and child welfare systems. Strong leadership, organizational, and crisis management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must pass Justice Center, OMH, and State Central Registry background checks. Understanding and appreciation of the roles of race, religion, ethnicity, sexual identity, and individual values as they relate to mental health and treatment of clients and families.
