Software Engineers

to work in Annapolis Junction, MD. The Software Engineer (SWE) will develop, maintain, enhance, and resolve diverse and complex software systems. Working individually and as part of a team, the SWE will utilize software development and software design methodologies, provide input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis.

Responsibilities Develop, maintain, enhance, and resolve diverse and complex software systems. Work individually and as part of a team. Apply software development and design methodologies and contribute to system design with hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, and COTS/GOTS usage. Conduct requirements analysis as part of software development.

Qualifications Required Experience:

A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.

Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Level 0

A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.

Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree totaling four (4) years.

Level 1

Seven (7) years’ experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.

Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree totaling eleven (11) years.

Level 2

Fourteen (14) years’ experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.

Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree totaling eighteen (18) years.

Level 3

Twenty (20) years’ experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.

Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree totaling twenty-four (24) years.

Pay Range Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00

Pay ranges are a general guideline and not intended as a guaranteed and/or implied final compensation or salary for this job opening. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several factors including, but not limited to: level of position, complexity of job responsibilities, geographic location, work experience, education, certifications, Federal Government contract labor categories, and contract wage rates.
