Senior Practice Leader @ Blue Signal Search | Executive Search Sr. Solutions Architect Location: Hybrid in Hoboken, NJ or Oakland, NJ A rapidly growing regional telecommunications provider is seeking a dynamic Sr. Solutions Architect to join their high-performing team. This is a hybrid role with regular in-office collaboration required. In this highly visible role, you’ll act as both a technical advisor and strategic partner across some of the largest and most complex enterprise accounts in the region. This is more than just a sales engineering function - it’s an opportunity to drive high-impact solutions, mentor a skilled team, and influence multimillion-dollar client relationships across financial, healthcare, and institutional sectors. Responsibilities
Act as the primary technical resource aligned to regional sales leadership and top-tier enterprise accounts. Lead solution design across complex telecom/networking infrastructure, including Dark Fiber, DWDM, MPLS, Ethernet, SD-WAN, UCaaS, SIP, and IP/BGP. Engage with Director to C-level stakeholders to qualify needs, derive custom solutions, and present compelling business cases. Collaborate with product, engineering, and service delivery teams to validate designs, ensure feasibility, and support seamless customer implementation. Mentor a team of junior to mid-level Sales Engineers, guiding technical and professional development. Coach sales teams on how to better qualify opportunities, utilize technical resources effectively, and align on solution strategy. Support RFP/RFQ responses, technical documentation, and customer-facing presentations. Participate in new product rollouts and training initiatives as a subject matter expert. Qualifications
8+ years of experience in technical solution design, systems engineering, or pre-sales in the telecom, managed services, or networking industry. Deep expertise across enterprise network architectures and protocols (Dark Fiber, DWDM, MPLS, SD-WAN, UCaaS, Ethernet, IP/BGP, etc.). Confident in customer-facing roles, including strategic deal support and technical presentation delivery. Prior experience managing or mentoring engineers or technical sales staff. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Strong communication and leadership presence - capable of partnering closely with sales leadership and presenting to executives. Experience working in hybrid environments across the tri-state area. Familiarity with Salesforce, Visio, and GIS mapping tools is a plus. Preferred
Certifications: CCNP, JNCIS, AWS Solutions Architect, or similar. Experience working with or supporting healthcare, financial services, or public sector enterprise accounts. Exposure to cloud services integration (AWS, Azure), security protocols, or SASE/SSE environments. What’s in it for You
