Barge Design Solutions is currently seeking to fill the position of Project Architect. This role will support projects, document development and design, and perform other related tasks. Additionally, they will work on multiple small projects with few complex features as a technical lead or portions of larger conventional projects. Responsibilities
Assist in project scope and budget development, as well as assisting in project design. Support PM providing technical leadership on conventional projects. Interpret and develop designs for complex plans. Coordinate construction documents with various areas including structural, mechanical, civil, electrical. Consult with local and federal jurisdictions about regulations and building codes. Write and review Architect Intern specifications, documents, drawings, etc., to produce various deliverables. Design, investigate, and recommend building systems and materials. Participate in client meetings, as appropriate. Conduct on-site visits to monitor progress of projects. Perform other duties as requested. Supervision
Directs Intern Architects and Designers in preparation of project plans. Technical lead on conventional projects. Expectations
Timeliness and quality of the technical team's work on projects and budget adherence. Utilization rates align with goal. This role may have individual sales goals for specific clients and/or primarily single-discipline opportunities. Develop and implement a plan to meet these sales goals. Bachelor's degree from an accredited program. Minimum of 4–8 years of architectural experience and Architect Registration. Healthcare experience required. Applies practical knowledge acquired through progressive experience to resolve issues. Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and other essential software and equipment for field and office work. Keeps informed of new methods and developments affecting the organization. Walk, sit, and stand. Occasionally reach with hands, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Occasionally climb 25–30 feet. Occasionally lift up to 40 lbs. Visual acuity sufficient to read alpha/numeric symbols for computation and design. Ability to adapt quickly and respond effectively to project issues that arise.
