We are seeking a
Product Engineer, MEP Systems
to lead the design and development of our mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. In this role, you will be responsible for specifying, selecting, testing, and documenting system components to meet stringent performance, manufacturing, and customer standards. As a key contributor, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our systems align with technical, manufacturing, and user requirements. Responsibilities
System Design Perform energy and load calculations, flow and pressure analysis, and equipment selection for MEP systems. Develop system schematics, layouts, and installation instructions for HVAC ducting, piping, and related infrastructure. Ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards throughout the design process. CAD Development and BOM Management Create and release 2D and 3D designs for reviews, prototyping, and production. Manage bills of materials (BOM) and product lifecycle documentation to ensure seamless project execution. Testing and Optimization Conduct system tests to validate performance and reliability under various conditions. Continuously refine designs based on test results, feedback, and evolving project needs. Required Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 2-6 years of experience in CAD design, with a focus on HVAC, plumbing, or thermal systems. Strong knowledge of HVAC operation and design principles, including refrigeration systems, chillers, heat pumps, and air handling equipment. Familiarity with relevant building codes and compliance standards. Proficiency in CAD tools such as OnShape, SolidWorks, or similar platforms. Experience with project coordination tools like Notion or Confluence is a plus. Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment with shifting priorities. Seniority level
