You will secure crime scenes for evidence collection. You will perform contingency actions in response to incidents, emergencies, and hostile actions (e.g., active shooter, hazardous materials spill, bomb threat). You will distribute and balance workload and rotations among police officers. You will administer anti-terrorism, force protection, physical security, and law enforcement services for the protection of life and property. Requirements and Qualifications
Must be a US Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination. You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing. This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential and requires immediate and continuing support for combat operations or combat-essential systems. You will be required to sign a DD-Form-2760, Qualification to possess firearms or ammunition. Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to 5 United States Code 3326. Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service. Incumbent must pass a sanctioned physical agility test and medical evaluation and pass periodic re-tests as required. You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. Failure to voluntary complete length of employment requirement can subject employee to reimburse the agency for training-related expenses. Required to wear a uniform and maintain appearance and grooming standards per Navy, Region, or Local Command SOPs/Policies. This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to meet OPM Hearing and vision requirements to include distinguishing basic shades of color. Resumes are restricted to no more than 2 pages. Completion of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Uniformed Police Training Program is a condition of continued employment with an agreement to Continue in Service (CSA) of 36 months after training.
