Overview
Temporary Engineer, Systems & Infrastructure Administrator-Bilingual (English/Spanish) role at KPMG US. This is a nine-month assignment with the Digital Nexus technology organization. Responsibilities
Provide administration, maintenance, configuration, and ongoing support of server infrastructure hosting Enterprise Applications running Windows and Linux operating systems Resolve complex enterprise system hardware and software problems; collaborate with peer teams and vendors to coordinate solutions Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures; interface with business clients and technology staff to implement solutions that meet business needs and address impact of new or revised applications on existing infrastructure; including the installation and testing of new enterprise system software and hardware releases Work directly with users to prioritize requests and frequently update users to communicate progress and estimated delivery timeframe Coordinate support escalation communication; participate in the development and maintenance of project technical documentation including design, configuration, installation Coordinate end-to-end application testing, defect management, change and release management and escalation processes; provide on-call support, including off-hours and weekend support Provide patching operations support to Latin America member firms Qualifications
Minimum one year of experience operating in a large enterprise environment with understanding of implementing systems at scale; technical skills in Windows Server and Linux; working knowledge of SANs Bachelor's degree preferred; Full fluency in both English and Spanish required Proficiency in Microsoft technologies (IIS, Microsoft Cluster Service, Certificates, PowerShell); experience with VMware VSphere and Cisco UCS platform administration is a plus; strong troubleshooting using Windows OS tools (Event Logs, Perfmon, NetSH, PowerShell) Ability to automate routine tasks using PowerShell and Python; experience deploying software across the server estate Experience with Datadog, SCOM, Qualys, and ServiceNow is a plus Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future Company Information & Compliance
