Generative AI Technology Specialist Vice President (Hybrid) – Citi, Tampa, FL. The role focuses on driving AI/ML advancements within the finance division, with emphasis on document processing and analysis. Responsible for end-to-end integration of GenAI solutions, from data requirements to cross-functional collaboration and deployment of production-ready applications. Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy production-ready GenAI solutions for financial applications (e.g., risk assessment, fraud detection, personalized financial advice, automated reporting) with a focus on document-based information. Work with structured and unstructured financial data (including complex documents such as PDFs), applying NLP, information retrieval, and document parsing for data processing and analysis. Define and gather data requirements for GenAI model training and evaluation. Design and implement Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using vector databases and prompt engineering for document retrieval and analysis. Develop and deploy chatbot solutions and other conversational AI interfaces, integrating with existing financial systems and document processing workflows. Utilize dynamic SQL to interact with relational databases, extracting and manipulating data for GenAI pipelines, including document-derived data. Write high-quality, well-documented, and testable Python code following software development best practices. Evaluate and integrate emerging GenAI technologies and tools (e.g., Llama 3, Llama 4, Gemini, GPT-4+) and assess Agentic AI applicability to financial use cases, particularly in document processing. Define and track metrics to evaluate GenAI solutions’ performance and impact, focusing on document processing accuracy and efficiency. Collaborate with Model Risk Management (MRM), the AI Center of Excellence (COE), and cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration and deployment of GenAI products. Translate business needs into technical GenAI solutions in collaboration with stakeholders, emphasizing document-centric challenges. Contribute to MLOps pipelines to ensure scalable and reliable models, including those used for document processing. Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A degree specializing in AI/ML is a significant plus. Ph.D. preferred. 10+ years of experience in AI/ML, including at least 3 years in Generative AI with demonstrated success deploying production-ready GenAI solutions, preferably with a focus on document processing. Technical Skills
Programming Languages: Python (expert). GenAI & LLM Frameworks: Transformers, LangChain, Llama 3, Llama 4, Gemini, GPT-4+ and related libraries. Data Science & ML Libraries: NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch. RAG Pipelines & Vector Databases: Design and implement RAG pipelines using Postgres, Pinecone, Weaviate, Faiss, Chroma. Document Processing & NLP: PDF parsing, chunking, re-ranking algorithms, and text extraction/analysis from documents. Database Technologies: SQL and dynamic SQL for relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server); NoSQL as a plus. Cloud Platforms & MLOps: AWS, Azure, GCP; MLflow, Kubeflow; CI/CD pipelines. Software Engineering: Version control (Git), testing, and code quality. Other Skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Knowledge of Agentic AI and emerging GenAI trends. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Qualifications
