Project Manager/Senior Traffic Engineer
role at
WSB . Our traffic team is growing, and we are looking for a leader with experience in delivering public and private agency projects. You will provide leadership on traffic engineering projects and coordinate with other functional groups within WSB. You will be involved with traffic engineering projects across our Texas, Minnesota, North Dakota, and Colorado markets.
What You Will Do
Be a leader in delivering traffic engineering and ITS services for our public and private clients.
Manage traffic engineering projects and ensure quality of products and conformance to budget.
Prepare and/or review traffic design and construction documents for traffic signal, roadway illumination, ITS, signing and pavement marking based on state and national standards.
Conduct and/or oversee traffic modeling including traffic forecasting, travel demand modeling, and microsimulation (VISSIM/CORSIM) modeling.
Develop traffic signal timing.
Perform traffic engineering and safety analysis and develop technical memorandums.
Supervise the work of other engineers and technicians.
Review work for accuracy and coordinate with other functional groups to ensure quality assurance and quality control for all final products.
Business development: pursue new or further develop existing client relationships, focusing on innovative ideas and trends.
Actively participate in the preparation of proposals.
Develop action plans to identify potential opportunities and track progress.
Research and implement emerging technologies to offer value-added services to clients.
Manage internal and external client relationships.
What you will bring
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited school
8+ years of experience with traffic engineering and related design packages
Texas PE license or ability to obtain within six months
Preferred: Experience with TxDOT projects
Preferred: PTOE and RSP certifications
Excellent communication and technical writing skills
Experience with design/analysis software including MicroStation, AutoCAD, Synchro, HCS, VISSIM, CORSIM
