The role collaborates with business units and external clients to support business goals. What You'll Do
The Strategic Data Scientist contributes to the success of the company by delivering analytics and insights from data, developing data-driven recommendations, and presenting findings to customers and internal teams. You will work with cross-functional teams to demonstrate the value of products through data narratives and strategic analysis. Examples of tasks include: Serve as the lead analytics point of contact for specific Biopharma customers. Develop data storytelling to anticipate and meet the strategic needs of customers and the Customer Success Team (CST). Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts and executive sponsors. Collaborate with Commercial CST members and external clients to demonstrate value through data narratives. Conduct deep dives into program performance and portfolio health. Perform in-depth analyses to identify opportunities and make recommendations to improve profitability and value. Use patient, product, and network models to interpret data; create ad-hoc reports and visualizations; update standard reports as applicable. Lead data-driven insight presentations with customers and proactively identify areas for product improvement. Apply standard formulas and statistical methods across data collection, analysis, and reporting. Monitor portfolio programs and communicate findings to stakeholders via strategic reviews and escalation when needed. Become a subject matter expert on CoverMyMeds products and the pharmaceutical industry. Collaborate on high-profile customer accounts with account teams. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Public Health Information, Bioinformatics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience. Skills You’ll Need
BA/BS in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Public Health Information, Bioinformatics, or equivalent quantitative field. 3-5 years of experience in a BI role in healthcare/Pharma industry. Understanding of data science methodologies (decision trees, multivariate analysis, segmentation modeling, factor analysis, regression, forecasting, machine learning). Experience with statistical software (Python, R, MATLAB, SAS, etc.) is a plus. Curious problem solver; able to interpret complex data and convey insights to non-technical audiences. Driven, self-motivated, team-oriented; able to handle competing priorities. Experience with data mining, analysis, and providing insights. Adept at creating queries, writing reports, and presenting findings. SQL proficiency (intermediate to advanced). Data visualization skills (Excel, Tableau, Power BI, etc.). Strong communication and presentation skills, including to senior leadership and external stakeholders; able to explain complex analyses in layman\'s terms. Preferred Skills
Pharmacy or Financial transaction adjudication experience. Industry expertise in Insurance, Pharmaceutical, or Healthcare. Curiosity and drive to dig into data to uncover the why behind findings. Collaborative mindset with cross-functional relationship-building and stakeholder listening. Passion for improving US healthcare and enabling healthier lives through data work.
