Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer - Networking Event with AECOM – New York City
Overview
AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in New York, NY October 15-17. This is a great opportunity to learn about career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2026. The event includes a networking mixer, talks from AECOM staff, and interviews at the New York office on Thursday and Friday. Roles may be based in Piscataway, NJ or New York City, NY and are expected to start June 2026.
Responsibilities
Builds analytic and design skills.
Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, final working drawings and Geotechnical reports under supervision.
Collects and analyzes data under supervision.
Performs Geotechnical investigations, including field soil/rock sampling.
Creates soil profiles based on subsurface data.
Uses computer software for solving basic engineering problems related to foundation, retaining walls, shoring, slope stability, and seepage analysis.
Works within agreed budget and schedule under supervision.
Qualifications Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited university.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s of Geotechnical Engineering.
Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering.
EIT.

Offered compensation is based on education, qualifications, experience, and location. Range: USD 80,000 - USD 84,000 per year.
