CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Data Scientist within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. You must have a passion for keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology advancements and leveraging your knowledge on a highly collaborative team to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities.
The Data Scientist analyzes data to extract insights and develop solutions for business challenges, often involving machine learning and statistical modeling. They work with large datasets, build predictive models, and communicate findings to stakeholders. Their work bridges the gap between technical analysis and business strategy.

This position is located in Arlington, VA however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Data Collection and Preparation: Gathering data from various sources, cleaning and transforming it for analysis.
Exploratory Data Analysis: Identifying trends, patterns, and insights within datasets.
Model Building and Evaluation: Developing and implementing machine learning models, algorithms, and statistical models to address specific business needs.
Communication and Visualization: Presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear and compelling visualizations and reports.
Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and business analysts.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
Journeyman:
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree and/or 2 to 5 years of experience
Security Clearance: Able to Obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Poly, active TS/SCI with Poly highly desired
Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages like Python and R, experience with data manipulation and analysis tools, machine learning frameworks, and statistical modeling techniques.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret data, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to translate business problems into analytical tasks and develop data-driven solutions.
Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Business Acumen: Understanding of business objectives and the ability to align data analysis with strategic goals.
Junior:
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree and/or 0 to 2 years of experience
Security Clearance: Able to Obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Poly, active TS/SCI with Poly highly desired

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $160,000.00 - $180,000.00.
