We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer specializing in Marine & Coastal Infrastructure to join our dynamic team. In this strategic role, you will lead complex geotechnical projects related to nearshore, hydraulic, and waterfront developments across North America and beyond. Your expertise will be vital in shaping resilient infrastructure, providing technical leadership, and mentoring emerging engineers, all while supporting the growth and innovation of the organization. Senior Geotechnical Engineer – Marine & Coastal Infrastructure Responsibilities Lead and support multidisciplinary teams on the design and execution of geotechnical projects in marine and coastal environments. Manage geotechnical and geophysical site investigations, including planning, data collection, analysis, and reporting. Develop engineering scopes, technical proposals, and comprehensive design reports for waterfront and hydraulic infrastructure projects. Perform QA/QC reviews, site data interpretation, and risk assessments to ensure project integrity and safety. Prepare construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and bid packages, ensuring compliance with standards. Mentor and guide junior to mid-level engineers, fostering professional development and technical excellence. Engage in client presentations and support proposal development to aid strategic growth efforts. Collaborate effectively across teams and regional offices within a collaborative, inclusive culture. Senior Geotechnical Engineer – Marine & Coastal Infrastructure Position Requirements Master’s or Master of Engineering degree in Geotechnical Engineering (Ph.D. preferred). Over 10 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering related to marine, coastal, or hydraulic infrastructure. Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration and licensure. Expertise in soil and rock mechanics, earthquake engineering, groundwater hydrology, and soil-structure interaction. Strong proficiency with geotechnical engineering software such as gINT, APILE, LPILE, PYWALL, GeoStudio suite, PLAXIS, FLAC, SLOPE/W, and Settle3. Extensive knowledge of seismic stability, liquefaction, seepage analysis, and ground improvement methods. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Proven project leadership capabilities and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required. Senior Geotechnical Engineer – Marine & Coastal Infrastructure Preferred Position Requirements Advanced numerical modeling and innovative ground improvement techniques. Experience with environmental and sustainability considerations in marine projects. Proven success managing large-scale, multi-year infrastructure projects.
