Junior/Senior Embedded Software Test Engineer
to join our team of experts responsible for new product design, development, and production introduction. Based at the newly expanded
Emerson Innovation Center , this role offers the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to advancing Emerson’s

Marshalltown, IA Key Responsibilities
Define and develop
test automation frameworks
to improve efficiency and expand test coverage. Design and execute
manual and automated test procedures
for low-power, high-reliability industrial process control devices. Champion and mentor test team members to drive quality in product delivery. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Firmware, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.) to ensure cohesive product development. Create and manage a backlog of work items in an
Agile development environment . Log, track, and investigate defects to determine and address root causes. Monitor, debug, and enhance automated test infrastructure. Prepare and maintain project and product documentation per departmental and company standards. Interpret and implement
engineering and industry standards
into testing practices. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in
Computer Science, Computer Engineering , or equivalent experience. 4+ years
of experience in
Embedded Software Development and/or Embedded Test Development . Strong knowledge of
embedded systems , testing methodologies, and automation frameworks. Experience working in
Agile environments
with cross-functional teams. Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
