The Senior Project Architect - Client Development plays a pivotal role in driving both the creative and operational success of our architectural projects. This position combines high-level design expertise with strategic client engagement and project leadership. The role leads architectural design efforts from concept through completion while cultivating, maintaining strong client relationships and converting new business opportunities into active projects. They are skilled collaborators, problem solvers and able to stay calm under pressure. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle. They will ensure client satisfaction and successful delivery on all projects. They will also oversee project management activities including scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation and coordination with consultants and subcontractors. Experience with K-12 school projects in New York State and public and private Higher Education projects is required. Lead architectural design efforts from concept through completion while cultivating and maintaining strong client relationships and converting new business opportunities into active projects. Serve as primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle; ensure client satisfaction and successful project delivery. Oversee project management activities including scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation and coordination with consultants and subcontractors. Collaborate with team members to deliver design solutions for educational facilities and related projects; coordinate with internal and external stakeholders. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Architecture; Master's degree preferred Minimum of 15 years of related professional experience; a minimum of 8 years of project management experience required Registered Architect license is required LEED accreditation is preferred Experience with NYSOGS or other state agencies and/or multi-family housing is a plus Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Revit is a must Knowledge of Photoshop and Sketchup is preferred Exceptional verbal, written and graphic communication skills Ability to work and lead in a team environment Experience identifying and securing new project opportunities Proven ability to build and maintain strong client partnerships Strong design sensibility with experience in educational facility planning and design Strong organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills Understands business practices and laws related to architecture Experience preparing proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations and project closeout documents for projects required Proficiency in developing and managing project schedules and budgets Experience utilizing problem-solving skills, exercising discretion, and making independent judgments required Knowledge of Deltek Vision preferred An articulate and persuasive communicator with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences Ability to travel as needed required Salary Range
$131,000 - $161,500 Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. Culture/EEO Statement
