About the Role Responsible for the day-to-day management of multiple medium-to-large-sized, highly complex projects with little to no input or assistance from management. Responsibilities Manage multiple medium to large-sized, highly complex projects to meet business objectives. Review and manage budgets, schedules, resources, and quality benchmarks to ensure timely delivery that meets stakeholders’ expectations. Direct and coordinate project team activities at various phases of the project life cycle. Manage relationships with project stakeholders to ensure the attainment of business objectives and customer satisfaction. Coordinate and deliver status reports to internal and external customers, vendors, stakeholders, and executive management. Coach and mentor less experienced Associate Project Managers, Project Managers, and Senior Project Managers. Qualifications Membership in the Project Management Institute (PMI) and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, along with a bachelor’s degree in an IT-related discipline and 8 years of job-relevant experience. OR Membership in the Project Management Institute (PMI) and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a high school diploma and 12 years of experience, including project management in an IT organization. Required Skills Proficient verbal and non-verbal communication skills, including written and presentation skills. Ability to apply project planning, implementation, and/or continuous improvement principles to achieve tangible, positive outcomes. Effectively handles resistance and takes proactive steps to prevent errors through constructive feedback. Ability to work in a team and/or matrixed structure while supporting multiple clients, procedures, and policies. Proven experience managing the full project lifecycle, including scope, cost, schedule, and quality. Demonstrable experience managing vendors, large teams, and risks to achieve project objectives. Proven ability to champion innovation and guide teams through change while identifying opportunities for process and product improvement. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Track record of accountability and ownership, demonstrating reliability in decision-making and commitment to successful project delivery. Executive presence with the ability to build trust and credibility at all levels. Advanced skills in strategic stakeholder management, building lasting relationships with executive sponsors and project partners to ensure alignment and success. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills Demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional teams, driving collaboration, and motivating others to achieve ambitious project objectives. Proven ability to foster innovation, champion new ideas, and guide teams through change while identifying opportunities for process and product improvement. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Proven track record of accountability and ownership, demonstrating reliability in decision-making and follow-through on commitments to achieve successful project delivery. Strong executive presence with the ability to build trust and credibility at all levels. Advanced skills in strategic stakeholder management, fostering lasting relationships with executive sponsors and project partners to ensure alignment and project success. Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities, prioritizing multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment. A degree is required in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline). PMP certification is preferred; candidates actively pursuing the PMP will be considered.
