THE POSITION FanDuel is looking for a data scientist who specializes in marketing modeling to join our team. In this role, you will develop and evolve our internal marketing mix model, help create a roadmap to support its evolution, and deliver actionable insights driving business and marketing KPIs. This role requires a strong background in data science, machine learning, and a deep understanding of marketing analytics. It is expected that you will take ownership of open-ended, ambiguous problems and reach optimal solutions by narrowing multiple options into the best approach. Employees may be required to perform other duties as assigned by the Company to ensure operational flexibility and meet evolving business needs. THE GAME PLAN Develop and manage marketing mix models to report on campaign effectiveness across all products Build robust predictive models, demonstrating feature and model selection capabilities; develop, iterate, and deploy advanced machine learning models Identify appropriate tools, systems, and models to solve large data problems and improve data infrastructure efficiency; select the best approach given available resources Create tools and models to generate actionable insights on marketing campaigns Troubleshoot and resolve coding and modeling issues Collaborate with agencies, vendors, and in-house data engineers to source and manage data for marketing mix modeling and channel attribution Partner with decision-makers to understand goals, identify data-driven opportunities, and improve business results Present findings confidently and impactfully to senior leaders THE STATS Minimum of 5 years of experience in data science, analytics, or engineering preferred Bachelor's Degree in a numerate field (Math, Stats, Econ, etc.) or relevant experience Proficiency in Python and SQL (or similar languages) Experience with marketing mix and channel attribution models Experience with Databricks or similar cloud platforms; experience optimizing compute is a plus Familiarity with Git and version control concepts Experience with online and offline marketing data Experience with simulations for scenario analysis Ability to communicate results effectively and influence marketing strategies Knowledge of sports or experience in regulated industries is a plus PLAYER BENEFITS We offer comprehensive benefits including health plans, paid time off, bonuses, 401k with match, and more. The salary range for this position is $149,000 - $195,300 USD, depending on experience, location, and market conditions. Benefits include insurance options, 401(k) matching, incentives, paid time off, and holidays. The role may be eligible for bonuses and stock options.
