Responsibilities Be an integral part of our WORLD CLASS RAIL DESIGN group Develop overhead catenary systems layout drawings, profiles, hanger tabulations, erection diagrams and technical specifications Perform quality control reviews and design checks of railroad projects Lead major tasks Ensure compliance with all federal, state & local regulations for Overhead Catenary Systems (OCS) Serve as a project manager on mid-to-large size projects Coordinate team and provide technical expertise for mid-to-large size projects Develop overhead catenary systems layout drawings, profiles, hanger tabulations, erection diagrams and technical specifications Lead technical client relationships related to design, construction and phasing of the work Coordinate with multiple departments related to a project scope of work Mentor staff to develop a team to support work in New England and beyond Demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills Develop and maintain strong client relationships Qualifications Minimum Requirements BA/BS in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field plus 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education Professional Engineer (PE) Valid US Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, candidate must have a valid driver’s license and pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review Preferred Qualifications 10 years of experience in railway systems (Overhead Catenary Systems/Traction Power) 6 years of related experience in railway (overhead catenary systems, traction power, track) Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, GEOPAK, OpenRoads or OpenRail Experience working with Connecticut Department of Transportation, Metro-North Railroad, Amtrak, MBTA, or other passenger/commuter railroad agencies Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously Excellent written and verbal communication skills Additional Information Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position Relocation is not available for this position Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
