AECOM is seeking a well-qualified Traffic or ITS Engineer to work remotely supporting many different offices across the Greater Midwest and Greater Southwest. Traffic analysis, forecasting, safety studies, traffic simulation, and conceptual planning/design. Plan sheets, specifications & estimates, technical memoranda, reports, presentations and other project documentation. ITS or emerging technology projects following the systems engineering process. Serve in various roles on traffic/ITS projects. Actively participate in the team’s production of technical deliverables ranging from plans, specifications, estimates, reports, memorandums, etc. Work with Early in Career staff and help review technical work and project documentation. Deliver assigned tasks on schedule and budget, while adhering to AECOM quality standards. Coordinate directly with other discipline groups within AECOM, as well as with external clients and sub-consultants. Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision. Independently perform all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works. Coordinate with Business Development leaders to capture project opportunities. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications BA/BS and 4 years of relevant experience demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Preferred Qualifications Preferred minimum 5 years of experience with an emphasis in civil engineering fields such as traffic control design, traffic studies, ITS engineering, traffic staging within Agency and DOT standards and projects. Registered Professional Engineer or ability to obtain PE license in 6 months. Good written and verbal communication skills. Experience using Traffic and Traffic Simulation Software and design platforms. Ability to work as a member of a team or perform independent work as required. Good interpersonal skills, command of English (verbal and written), clear expression of thoughts, good time management, and a positive work attitude. Additional Information
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $85,000.00 - $120,000.00. About AECOM
