The Senior Manager of Engineering and Operations is responsible for the effective and efficient management of IT infrastructure systems and operations globally. This role will lead the team to optimize Funko’s on-premises infrastructure while developing, designing and deploying a more global cloud-focused infrastructure to support international expansion. The candidate should have a track record of leading teams with operational readiness, optimization and automation, and will play a key role in supporting AI technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy. The Senior Manager will manage and support the Operations team to maintain a service-focused management style, lead the Global Operations teams in the US, EMEA, and Asia, and define SLAs, KPIs, and forecasts for resource planning. The role includes global monitoring, alerting, and maintenance to improve visibility into infrastructure health and collaboration with cross-functional leadership to craft and execute the global infrastructure strategy. What You’ll Do

Lead team of Engineers, Systems Administrators, and Support Team members, providing managerial support to ensure operational readiness and systems availability. Design, build and support global infrastructure resources, including On-Prem, SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS platforms and systems. Oversee day-to-day operations of the Engineering team, ensure projects and tasks stay on track, and participate in Agile methodologies. Prioritize tasks, projects, and support to align with personal and departmental goals. Lead team support for internal incidents or cross-functional support, maintaining a high level of service. Define and report on KPIs and SLAs; adjust to keep them achievable and sustainable. Provide quarterly reports on system availability and uptime, informing leadership of future platform needs and changes. Proactively respond to system events and close gaps in procedures and policies. Provide KPIs to ensure appropriate staffing levels and equitable workloads. Provide Engineering leadership support for cross-functional teams within Technology to meet global objectives. Contribute to departmental strategies aligned with the overall Technology Strategy. Ensure effective Disaster Recovery and Backup strategies and maximize business continuity. Provide leadership during outages or major incidents and post-mortem analyses to prevent recurrence. Maintain system documentation and configuration details updated to defined standards. Lead escalations efficiently with documentation and changes to reduce repeats. Lead continual improvement programs for operations procedures and ticket handling. Maintain security and compliance standards, remediating gaps and improving processes as needed. Provide budgetary oversight for equipment, software, cloud infra spend, and perform periodic analyses on refreshes and optimization. Collaborate with leaders to train and develop team members. Manage relationships with vendors, consultants, and contractors to support Funko goals and strategy. Support the development of RFPs and SOWs to ensure accurate technical requirements and scope. Review new technologies, document findings, pilot and evaluate vendors, make recommendations, and build business cases for investments. Ensure the team follows industry best practices and Funko change management policies. What You’ll Bring 3 Years of Management Experience in IT Infra – Engineering or Operations (Required) 5+ Years of Managerial Experience (Preferred) 3+ Years of Global Team Management Experience (Preferred) Bachelor’s degree in computer science/information technology or equivalent preferred Extensive knowledge of virtualization platforms, storage systems, Windows Server, Active Directory, network technologies, and identity management Hands-on experience designing and managing SaaS, PaaS, IaaS environments and supporting PaaS services including M365, Azure, and AWS Advocate for IT automation, standards, procedures, policies, and best practices for the infrastructure team Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop and mentor staff Experience leading IT infrastructure groups in complex and dynamic environments Excellent business acumen and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels Proactive in understanding ongoing and upcoming projects and staying current with industry trends Compliance experience (SOX, PCI, GDPR, and others) preferred Certifications in ITSM and ITIL methodologies preferred Salary Information

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $131,250 - 175,000 annually. Compensation may vary outside this range depending on qualifications, skills, and location. Base pay is part of the Total Package and may include discretionary bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units.
