About the Team The Financial Platform team is one of several teams within Dutchie’s Consumer organization, primarily focused on the Pay by Bank product and key product experiences like signup and checkout. We're a collaborative engineering squad with mixed frontend and backend expertise working closely with product, design, and compliance partners. Our user journeys tend to be more complicated than average, as many of our customers have different needs to accommodate, and we take pride in navigating that successfully. Dutchie’s success is dependent on the success of the dispensaries we support and the experiences our team owns play a critical role in that. About the Role: Senior Software Engineer II - Frontend Our product and platform have good traction, processing millions of dollars in ACH transactions daily, and now we’re looking for a seasoned frontend engineer that can help us keep growing our customer’s consumer footprint. You should be able to work with legacy code, shaping it to meet our customers’ needs for the future. Challenge our assumptions, and help other engineers at Dutchie grow their own skillset. You’ll be working daily in React, Typescript, and GQL - partnering closely with product and design. Experimentation, performance optimization, monitoring and alerting are all top of mind for us right now as we continue maturing our product areas. What You’ll Do... Develop mission-critical consumer flows for new features, as well as experimenting on old ones Partner with product and design to scope and plan work appropriately. We don’t always have the time to take the ideal route, so being able to collaborate cross-functionally and create flexible execution plans is often key Mentoring other engineers to unlock their potential, helping them grow their skills to meet the evolving needs of Dutchie’s customers What You Bring... 5+ years of development experience required. Some Fintech experience is nice to have, but we’ll teach you the basics! Some leadership skills, including experience successfully mentoring others Good communication skills, including cross-functional communication You have experience building user experiences within complex products. You take pride in the code you write - it's clean, tested, organized. Strong fundamentals You want to work in an agile environment - we move quickly and ship code often It’s a bonus if you... You have gone through a rapid growth period in a previous company (from startup to mid-size) You think through problems starting from first-principles and the customer’s perspective Experience working in the Financial Technology space Contribute regularly to open-source projects You’ll Get… We are targeting a starting salary of $149,000 - $180,000 based on the intended level for this role.
