Oversee day-to-day maintenance and safe operation of all refrigeration and plant equipment. Manage preventative maintenance, maintain accurate inventory records, and coordinate with vendors. Handle ammonia refrigeration systems, compressors, coolant towers, and other critical machinery. Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on refrigeration and plant equipment. Maintain and troubleshoot warehouse machinery, cargo-moving equipment, fire/security alarms. Keep engine room and shop organized, safe, and compliant. Schedule repairs or replacements for equipment as needed. Partner with operations and office teams to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Uphold safety, compliance, and cleanliness standards across the facility. Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in refrigeration or plant maintenance (cold storage or similar environment). Knowledge of FRICK ammonia refrigeration compressors; IIAR training and Ammonia Operator schooling preferred. Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Strong organizational and record-keeping skills. Self-motivated, proactive, and team-oriented mindset. Flexibility to work on-call when needed. Must pass all pre-employment screenings.
