Design and implement data integration workflows using AWS Glue, EMR, Lambda, and Redshift Develop and maintain data processing with PySpark, Spark, and Python for large datasets Ensure data is extracted, transformed, and loaded into target systems Build ETL pipelines (including Iceberg) Validate, cleanse, and ensure data quality and integrity with monitoring, validation, and error handling mechanisms Optimize data workflows to meet SLAs and scale on AWS cloud infrastructure; improve Redshift performance Translate business requirements to technical specifications and coded data pipelines for BI and analytics Document all data integration processes, workflows, and technical and system specifications; ensure compliance with data governance, standards, and regulatory requirements Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field (master's degree advantageous) 4-6+ years of experience in data engineering, database design, ETL processes Experience with Iceberg 5+ years in PySpark, Python, and SQL 5+ years of experience with AWS tools and technologies (S3, EMR, Glue, Athena, Redshift, Postgres, RDS, Lambda, PySpark) 3+ years of experience with databases, data marts, and data warehouses ETL development, system integration, and CI/CD implementation Experience in handling complex database objects to move changed data across environments Solid understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance Experience participating in agile development processes (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers Seniority level
