Your New Role...

Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a forward-thinking Principal Engineer of Critical Power System Design to lead the engineering strategy and execution of resilient, scalable power infrastructure across our global technical facilities. This role is central to ensuring resilient, scalable, and efficient power systems that support our global content operations, including production, post-production, broadcast, and distribution platforms.

Your Role Accountabilities...

Lead the design and engineering of critical power systems including UPS, generators, switchgear, PDUs, and cooling systems for new and existing technical facilities. Collaborate with facility planners, architects, and operations teams to integrate power systems into broader infrastructure strategies. Develop and maintain design standards, technical specifications, and best practices for high-availability environments. Evaluate emerging technologies and sustainability practices to enhance system efficiency and reliability. Lead internal design efforts and direct external engineering partners, vendors and contractors to ensure design integrity, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with WBD standards. Support long-range planning for facility upgrades, expansions, and technology refreshes. Mentor and lead a team of engineers and technical specialists, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Supports a global portfolio of technical facilities. Occasional domestic and international travel required.

Qualifications & Experiences...

B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering; or an equivalent combination of skills, training and experience. 15+ years of experience in mission-critical facility engineering, with deep expertise in power system design and implementation. 7+ years in a leadership role managing complex infrastructure projects and technical teams. Proven track record with high-availability environments such as data centers, broadcast facilities, or enterprise IT infrastructure. Strong knowledge of electrical systems including UPS, diesel generators, switchgear, and power distribution. Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree or PMP certification. Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or other infrastructure modeling tools. Experience in media, entertainment, or technology sectors.
