At Regions, the Mainframe Systems Engineer Manager manages installation of vendor software by internal and external Systems Engineers for supported technical processes and systems. Responsibilities
Ensure installation project plans are created and completed within project timelines Provide leadership and mentoring for direct and indirect reports in development opportunities, goal-setting/achievement, and employee engagement targets Provide monthly system utilization and performance reports to information technology management Ensure a proper systems programming team is in place before any major system change is implemented Follow change management procedures to resolve problems Apply technology-based best practices for resolving problems Utilize knowledge of software vendor procedures and disciplines (e.g., IBM, Compuware, CA) for updates, patches, and temporary fixes Requirements
Bachelors degree Eight (8) years of experience Completion of related technical mainframe management training in project management, CICS and DB2, z/OS, and storage performance and capacity management Skills and Competencies
Ability to manage multiple projects Demonstrated leadership abilities Excellent written and verbal communications skills Organizational skills Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills Additional Information
This position is intended to be onsite, with regular office presence and a schedule set by the manager. Relocation assistance is not provided. The position must be within a reasonable driving distance to Birmingham, AL; Atlanta, GA; or Charlotte, NC. Position Type

Pay ranges are provided as a point-of-market reference. Minimums: Job Range Target: $120,773.95 USD; Median: $156,200.00 USD. Incentive Pay Plans apply with eligibility for annual discretionary incentives and potential participation in the Long Term Incentive Plan. Benefits
