We are currently looking for versatile civil, geotechnical, or structural engineers in NY/NJ to serve as a senior project engineer in our tunnels resource group with a focus on underground design and construction projects. Experience in the transportation and water/wastewater sectors would be considered an asset. Support the delivery of our existing portfolio of tunnelling projects in the U.S. and Canada. Oversight of staff and execution of field investigation programs to collect data for use in design, condition assessments and the preparation of reports. Contribution to detailed analyses for projects involving tunnels and underground structures. Development of field instrumentation programs and evaluation of collected data. Management of staff producing design solutions, reports, and contributions to/reviews of specifications and drawings. Writing reports for submission to clients, including design-related technical memoranda and reports. Direct client engagement with guidance from senior management; liaising with clients, responding to queries, and attending design and progress meetings. Contribution to and preparation of proposals for submission to clients. Ability to lay out/develop a design program and independently manage a team of staff. Managing and mentoring junior/graduate engineers and supporting their development. Candidate Specification

Our team provides cost-effective and innovative engineering solutions for North American infrastructure with unprecedented success. We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join our team and invite applications from candidates with: Bachelors in civil, structural, or geotechnical engineering; a Masters in a related field is preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) license in New Jersey, New York, or ability to obtain within 12 months. NCTI Certification is preferred. 8-15 years of experience in engineering consultancy (not including education), experience in New York preferred. Proficiency in structural software: STRAND7, SAP, STAAD or equivalent. Proficiency in geotechnical software (Plaxis, GeoStudio/Slide, Rocscience, etc.); working knowledge of BIM tools (Bentley/Autodesk) is advantageous. Demonstrated design experience in geotechnical engineering, ground characterization for soil and rock, and knowledge of concrete, steel, and foundation design. Strong references from past managers or clients. Interest in underground design and construction for transport, water, or wastewater sectors; multidisciplinary experience is advantageous.
