Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior API Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance APIs. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java (Spring Boot), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD automation. This role involves close collaboration with DevOps, architecture, and product teams to deliver enterprise-grade API solutions. Responsibilities
Design and develop RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot. Build and manage microservices architecture. Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Harness. Ensure API security using OAuth2, JWT, and other best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define API contracts and integration strategies. Monitor and optimize API performance using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack. Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in Java backend/API development. Strong proficiency in Spring Boot and RESTful API design. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE, or OpenShift). Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Maven, etc.). Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB). Experience with API documentation tools like Swagger/OpenAPI. Understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-native development. Preferred Skills
Experience with WSO2 API Manager or other API gateways. Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Familiarity with DevSecOps tools (SonarQube, Checkmarx). Knowledge of GraphQL is a plus. Experience in financial or compliance-related applications is a bonus. How to apply
