The ideal candidate is a Columbia, MD resident with over 20 years of software development experience, deep expertise in Java and JavaScript, and an active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance. Experience with JavaScript 3D libraries is a plus.

This role will be key in translating system requirements into software specifications, designing intuitive UI components, and implementing software applications in a cloud-native, agile environment. Position Description:
The Principal User Interface (UI) Developer will work on a growing application development team, collaborating with Subject Matter Experts and Systems Engineers to understand user experience needs. Responsibilities include designing and developing user interface components and assisting with back-end services to support application functionality, enhancing both usability and performance. Position Responsibilities: Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and Systems Engineers to fully understand system requirements and desired user experience (UX). Design and develop user interface components that enhance usability and performance. Assist in the design and development of back-end services to support application functionality. Play a key role in translating system requirements into software specifications. Implement software applications in an agile environment. Required Skills: Must have an active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with 20+ years of experience in software development. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. Deep expertise in Java and modern software engineering principles. Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. Experience with React or similar UI frameworks (e.g., Vue, Angular). Skilled in consuming and creating REST APIs and WebSockets. Proven ability to design, optimize, and develop software for advanced computing environments. Expertise in algorithm development with strict performance requirements. Desired Skills: Experience with JavaScript 3D libraries such as Three.js.
