GENERAL FUNCTION:
This position manages and deepens relationships with the bank’s largest insurance clients—firms with substantial financial strength and a strong asset base across our regional footprint. The role serves as the primary contact, delivering tailored financial solutions. In addition to insurance portfolio management, the role involves partnering with Private Equity firms to originate, underwrite, and oversee credit facilities for leveraged insurance portfolio companies. The individual will lead the structuring and execution of complex credit proposals, aligning with client needs and strategic goals. Responsibilities also include selling the bank’s ancillary products and developing new client relationships. The role requires a professional with deep industry knowledge, exceptional relationship management skills, and proven experience in executing sophisticated financial transactions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Grow and retain relationships with targeted clients, coordinating all aspects of the relationship. Develop business strategies to generate new business. Lead and coordinate credit support and other product area activities. Review and underwrite credit requests, ensuring satisfaction and appropriateness of services. Drive revenue growth through loans, deposits, fee income, and cross-selling. Develop new credit and non-credit business within the territory. Prepare and present credit proposals, ensuring completeness and viability. Monitor customer performance and industry trends to assess risk. Provide support to Capital Markets teams for securities and capital markets services. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
May oversee Principals, Associates, and Analysts, providing performance feedback, developing talent, and ensuring succession planning. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
Undergraduate degree required; graduate degree preferred. 7-10+ years in Banking, Investment Banking, M&A, or Capital Markets; at least 3 years at Director level. Strong corporate finance and credit skills. Proven success in originating and closing complex financial transactions. Excellent presentation and relationship-building skills. Effective interaction with senior executives. Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 79, and 63 licenses required; Series 24 preferred.
