We are seeking an
Axis Certified Sales Professional/Estimator
to join our team in Pittsburg or Overland Park, Kansas. This role requires a technically skilled individual with expertise in Axis camera systems, cabling, and fiber optic data solutions. While some sales responsibilities are included, the primary focus is on providing technical knowledge, designing system solutions, preparing accurate estimates, and supporting the implementation of security and surveillance projects. The ideal candidate will combine technical proficiency with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and project teams. Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as the subject matter expert for
Axis camera systems , data cabling, and fiber optic solutions. Provide technical consultation and support during the sales process, including site assessments and solution design. Prepare accurate
estimates, proposals, and technical documentation
for security surveillance and cabling projects. Collaborate with project managers, technicians, and clients to ensure system requirements are understood and met. Stay current with
Axis certification requirements , industry trends, and emerging technologies. Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities, presenting solutions, and maintaining strong customer relationships. Ensure compliance with company standards, safety practices, and project specifications. Participate in pre-installation planning, troubleshooting, and post-installation support as needed. Travel 10-30% of the time to project sites and customer locations. Qualifications
Axis Certified Sales Professional (ACSP)
credential required. Strong working knowledge of
cabling, fiber optics, and low-voltage systems . Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and scope documents. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface with clients and internal teams. Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail. Proven ability to prepare cost estimates, proposals, and solution designs. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Education & Certifications
Associate's degree or equivalent technical training in
electrical, electronics, information technology, or a related field
required (Bachelor's degree preferred). Preferred Certifications: BICSI Fiber Optics Technician NICET (Low Voltage/Video Security Systems) Ongoing professional development and certifications encouraged.
