Overview
Underwrites profitable property business on a nationwide basis in accordance with Corporate goals. Responsibilities
Selects and underwrites complex property risks within delegated underwriting authority. Reviews applications and requirements to determine acceptability of risk in accordance with Company guidelines and standards. Performs all aspects of the underwriting process and due diligence including review and analysis of financial documents and individual risk factors. Applies appropriate pricing techniques according to company filings and state/bureau conformance. Monitors underwriting results, premium and loss trends within assigned book of business. Delivers quality service to brokers and customers within established service metrics for new, renewal and interim requests. Develops and cultivates new and existing broker and customer relationships in the assigned territory. Works with brokers and clients to create customized insurance solutions. Sources new business opportunities through a strong broker and client network. Prepares or analyzes information on adverse underwriting decisions, rate appeals, underwriting requirements, status and declinations to drive results within the assigned territory. Documents accounts in accordance with regulatory and internal underwriting guidelines. Establishes and executes effective and efficient producer and client visits (with appropriate business units – Risk Engineering, Claims and Marketing Representatives) to maintain and increase new business. Enhances technical expertise in the area of Industrial and Global property underwriting, including assisting in Underwriting Manager in the training and development of department staff. Supervisory

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) required 7+ years of related multi-line background required. Existing producer relationships preferred. Must have demonstrated negotiation and production skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Salary
The estimated salary range for this position is $110,000 to $150,000 per year. This is a good-faith assessment of the salary range for this position only. In determining the actual salary within this range, MSIG USA will consider a candidate’s relevant experience, location, and other job-related factors.
