Qualcomm is looking for an experienced High Speed Interfaces SOC Architect to work on the next generation AI products in the datacenter. The selected candidate will help define the architecture and drive requirements from card/server level to a full rack. Understand trends in High Speed interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet and Die-to-Die (D2D) interconnectivity. Propose data flow models and collaborate with Software, Firmware and SOC design teams to achieve high bandwidth and low latency for end-to-end data transfers. Maintain a strong understanding of layers (Physical, Link, Transaction, and Protocol) of High Speed interfaces. Collaborate with Software, SOC Design teams and Card design teams to realize connectivity for AI Scale Up and Scale Out deployments. Architect enhancements required for deployment of next-generation AI products. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience; OR Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience; OR PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience. Requirements Deep knowledge and experience with high-performance design of PCIe and/or Ethernet interfaces. 10+ years HW design, testing and commercialization experience 3+ years of experience working in datacenter related products (servers, accelerators, etc.). In-depth understanding of ordering models for PCIe, ARM and high speed serial interfaces. Strong understanding of error scenarios such as PCIe AER and PCIe DPC. Understanding of IO Virtualization (PCIe-SRIOV). Knowledge of scale-up and scale-out architectures. Understanding of DMA engines. Willingness to work in a high-caliber international/multi-site team. Preferred Skills And Experience
Understanding of PCIe Gen6/Gen7 requirements. Knowledge of integrity and data encryption for PCIe (e.g., PCIe IDE, SIOV, TDISP). Knowledge of Ethernet protocols with emphasis on error recovery and virtualization. Understanding of PCIe CEM standards for PCIe Card deployments. Knowledge of new AI standards such as UCIe, UAL and UEC. Understanding of PCIe firmware and system software requirements. Experience with high-speed SerDes such as PCIe PHY and Ethernet PHY. Knowledge of server SoC architectures focusing on security, reliability, availability, and virtualization. Ability to work with customers, product management, and gather requirements. Pay Range And Other Compensation & Benefits
$164,000.00 - $264,500.00 The pay range reflects the minimum to maximum for the job code and location. Salary is one component of total compensation, which may include an annual discretionary bonus program and potential RSU grants.
