Job Summary: Senior Network/Cyber Security Engineer — Austin, TX Responsibilities

Perform advanced cybersecurity analysis to protect cloud and network assets. Deliver cybersecurity threat assessments, cyber intelligence, software security, and vulnerability assessment services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on cybersecurity decisions and provide guidance for security improvements. Develop and integrate cybersecurity designs for systems and networks with multi-level security requirements. Document and address information security, cloud architecture, and systems security engineering requirements throughout acquisition life cycles. Ensure consistency of new systems and architectures with organizational cybersecurity guidelines. Identify and prioritize critical business functions and perform security reviews to identify architectural gaps. Develop security risk management and system security plans. Evaluate the adequacy of security designs and architectures in response to requirements. Monitor IT security trends, websites, news, and publications for updates and best practices. Determine and document necessary security controls for information systems and networks. Work independently with minimal supervision and significant latitude for initiative and judgment. May involve occasional travel and after-hours support to address security incidents. Perform other duties as assigned to maintain IT operations. Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, IT, computer science, or related field (or equivalent experience). 8+ years of experience in: Cybersecurity/information security analysis. Security or enterprise architecture development, implementation, and management. Conducting security risk assessments/audits in compliance with state/federal regulations. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Consultative, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Translating operational requirements into security controls and applying cybersecurity/privacy principles. Determining security system function, resilience, and impact of changes. Applying network security architecture concepts (topology, protocols, defense-in-depth, etc.). state client experience. Must have active LinkedIn profile and provide 3 references. Preferred

8+ years being self-motivated, proactive, able to work independently, and manage time effectively. Other Details
