Overview
Our client, a growing specialty finance platform, is seeking a Treasurer to build and oversee its treasury function. With a $1 billion credit facility in place, the Treasurer will be responsible for managing the firm’s bank relationships, cash management, and treasury operations, while also leading and expanding a dedicated team. This is a strategic hire for the firm’s next stage of growth and an opportunity for a treasury professional from the financial services or specialty lending sector to step into a high-visibility leadership role. Key Responsibilities
Treasury Operations & Cash Management: Oversee daily cash management, liquidity forecasting, and wire transfer execution. Implement efficient treasury processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong internal controls. Banking & Loan Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for the firm’s banking partners. Negotiate and manage loan agreements, credit lines, and related treasury facilities. Support leadership in optimizing capital structure and funding strategies. Monitor and manage treasury risk, including counterparty exposure and liquidity risk. Develop and maintain policies and procedures for treasury operations. Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and internal policy requirements. Leadership & Team Development: Lead two direct reports at the outset, with responsibility for scaling the team as the business grows. Provide mentorship, training, and professional development for team members. Conduct an initial review of current processes and implement improvements as needed. Candidate Profile
8–15+ years of experience in treasury, cash management, or treasury risk roles. Background in specialty finance, or non-bank lending environments preferred. Strong understanding of credit facilities, cash management, and treasury controls. Proven ability to manage bank relationships and complex funding arrangements.
