Job Summary The Associate Director, Global Payer Value & Access (PVA) - Vaccines will support the refinement and execution of global pricing strategies, reimbursement and market access strategies to maximize the value of a drug across key markets. This role will also support commercial technology transfer and local manufacturing assessments to enhance market access and affordability. This role focuses on optimizing pricing models, ensuring price compliance, maintaining pricing platforms for audit purposes, and enhancing payer value propositions to align with affordability, sustainability, and public health priorities. The role will collaborate closely with regional and local teams, Commercial, Medical, HEOR, and Public Affairs to secure sustainable market access. Responsibilities Refine global pricing and reimbursement strategies to balance affordability, value, and sustainability across diverse markets. Define payer segmentation and pricing frameworks for procurement structures such as PAHO Revolving Fund, GAVI, UNICEF, national tendering systems, and private markets. Conduct pricing scenario analyses, considering competitor entry, tendering strategies, and volume-based contracting. Manage price compliance across markets, adhering to global pricing policies and regulatory requirements. Maintain and update pricing platforms for accuracy and audit-readiness Pricing Strategy, Life Cycle Management & Competitive Positioning Refine life cycle pricing strategies, considering items such as multi-dose vial introduction, new evidence and policy shifts. Monitor global market trends, competitor pricing, and policy shifts that impact vaccine access to ensure competitive positioning. Support regional teams in adapting pricing and access strategies in response to new market entrants, evolving public procurement mechanisms, and changes in government funding. Region and LOC support in Execution of Pricing and Access Strategies Guide regional and local teams to execute pricing strategies, aligning with local payer dynamics and global objectives. Provide strategic input on tender participation, volume-based agreements, and innovative pricing models. Support localization of value narratives and health economic models to strengthen reimbursement submissions and payer negotiations. Facilitate knowledge-sharing and capability-building to enhance local teams' pricing and payer engagement expertise. Support local advisory boards to gather payer and policymaker insights, refining pricing and value communication. Data & Digital-Driven Access Perspective Leverage digital platforms and value communication tools to enhance payer engagement, ensuring seamless access to evidence-based insights that support Qdenga value messaging. Utilize AI-driven pricing analytics, real-world data (RWD), and forecasting models to optimize access strategies and anticipate shifts in procurement and reimbursement trends. Technology Transfer & Local Manufacturing Assessments Support technology transfer initiatives and local manufacturing assessments to enhance affordability and market access in key regions. Evaluate pricing and access implications of local production, including cost structures, scalability, and alignment with global pricing strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the feasibility and impact of technology transfer agreements on market access and sustainability. Ad Hoc Support Payer Value Proposition Development & Execution Refine Global Value Dossiers (GVDs), payer negotiation toolkits, and objection-handling materials and other key tools to support local market access and pricing teams. Ensure alignment of clinical, economic, and public health value messaging with payer needs and policy priorities. Collaborate with public affairs and policy teams to support funding advocacy, vaccine inclusion in national programs (NIPs), and health system strengthening initiatives. Evidence Generation & HEOR Integration Partner with HEOR teams to design and execute cost-effectiveness models, budget impact analyses, and real-world evidence (RWE) strategies that reinforce vaccine value. Proactively shape post-launch RWE initiatives to ensure long-term pricing sustainability and policy support. Qualifications Required: 5+ years of experience in Pricing and Access with a strong focus on vaccines. Deep understanding of global vaccine reimbursement frameworks, public procurement dynamics, and multi-lateral funding mechanisms. Proven ability to engage with payers, policymakers, and health system stakeholders to shape vaccine access policies. Experience working in emerging markets, with direct exposure to vaccine pricing and reimbursement negotiations. Preferred: Advanced degree in health economics, public health, business, pharmacy, or related field. Experience with PDP agreements, tech transfer pricing models, and innovative access strategies. Background in volume-based agreements, tiered pricing, and alternative financing mechanisms for vaccines. Familiarity with health system financing and procurement models in LMICs Travel: Limited travel required, to ensure execution excellence optimizing stakeholder engagement.
