Overview The Portfolio Manager provides relationship management support for an assigned portfolio of clients who are active commercial real estate owners, investors and developers.

Portfolio Managers work in partnership with Relationship Managers to provide comprehensive financial advice and solutions that enable clients to meet their financial objectives and utilize Key’s product platform. They help drive the portfolio’s financial performance through credit monitoring, file maintenance, on-going covenant compliance verification, business development and lending/sales support, and operational support.

Responsibilities

Proactively manages the portfolio to maximize profitability and ensure strong asset quality, including timely identification and resolution of issues and accurate loan risk rating assignments. Assists in resolving out-of-balance and/or other default situations in the portfolio.

Assist in structuring and facilitating credit and non-credit product delivery while demonstrating sound risk management and maximizing risk-adjusted returns on shareholder capital.

Support Key’s asset generation strategy, deepen existing relationships, onboard new relationships, and participate in call preparation.

Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and prospects, establishing credibility with internal and external stakeholders and sharing constructive feedback with teammates and stakeholders.

Partner with Credit, Product Partners, Closers, Servicing, technical services, and other partners to identify cross-sell opportunities, deepen client relationships, and deliver seamless execution.

Provide analysis of business and personal financial statements to inform deal structures, pricing and terms; deliver timely write-ups and loan recommendations.

Underwrite construction and interim loans in accordance with KeyCorp credit policy.

Coordinate annual reviews, loan renewals, quarterly portfolio reviews, and asset quality reports; monitor adherence to loan requirements and manage past dues and covenant compliance.

Collaborate with Portfolio Services to facilitate annual reviews, property inspections, and other items to secure the Bank’s position.

Participate in community and professional organizations to enhance expertise and profile.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field, or equivalent experience

At least 2+ years of finance-related experience

Strong proficiency in MS Office suite, spreadsheets, Internet applications, and common business software

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

MBA

Experience in commercial real estate lending and/or underwriting

Ability to provide timely and accurate information to enable decision making

Compensation And Benefits This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $90,000 to $120,000 annually, depending on location and experience. Compensation also includes eligibility for short-term and deferred incentive compensation, subject to individual and company performance.
